The Guidelines for the 2018 competition specify that teams shall include the formulae used to determine engineering calculations and drilling parameters. This was highlighted in the Introduction and Section 4.3.5. The Guidelines require that teams submit a table summarizing all calculations. Those teams who ignored this have been penalized by the judges. For those of you who qualify for Phase II, please be sure to include this by sending it to the judges at least a month before the onsite testing.
Details of how the downhole sensor is used in the control algorithm was also required. Congratulations to those who included this information, and an extra acknowledgement to those who included redundant sensors in case of component failures.
