The latest revision of the FAQs add to the existing 2021 Guidelines. There are some important items that require the attention of all the teams:
- The bit model is included
- Clarification of the target locations
- Lithology
- Pipe specs
- Teams must deal with some complex engineering issues with respect to proposed trajectories, the pipe strength, bending stresses, plastic deformation, and more
- This is only a competition for the drilling component of well construction. It does not include running casing, cementing, logging, etc.
