Autonomous drilling means there are two buttons: start and stop. What happens in between is as important as how fast you drill. Do the drilling algorithms you developed function as planned? Did they accommodate the surprise formations in the rock sample or follow the right path of a directional well plan? What was the quality of the wellbore and the well trajectory? How well did the rig hold up to actual drilling conditions? These are the usual suspects investigated by the judges, but they are always looking for something innovative, yet reliable.
Good luck!
